Outdoor Remodel in Scripps Ranch, CA
Our clients in Scripps Ranch have a home with a serene forest view—but their backyard didn’t reflect that. They wanted to turn it into a functional, welcoming area to host friends and family, and to enjoy their view every day.
After walking the space and discussing ideas, we landed on a design that would create year-round usability: a covered patio, an outdoor island for cooking and seating with a fireplace lounge area. These elements would allow for summer BBQs and quiet winter nights alike.
Low-maintenance landscaping was another priority. We selected plantings that complemented the new structures and required minimal upkeep, keeping the focus on relaxation, not yard work.
In the finished project, warm gray and tan tones tie the new design back to the house. Integrated lighting and a modern outdoor fireplace complete the transformation—turning what was once an avoided space into a daily destination.
